In this video Marco Rovetta, CTP Team Product Innovation Manager, talks about how the Waste Heat Recovery systems balance the GHG generation
A WHR system can play an active role in reaching the target of Zero emissions. The systems, which need to be installed to get such target, are all energy consuming. Consider the bag filters and in general, all the flue gas treatment technologies widely diffused in cement plants: all these systems and technologies contributes to increase the amount of the secondary CO2.
The installation of a WHR system supports the energy transition from high to low carbon energy: The first action is the optimisation of such system in term of energy efficiency. Then the installation of WHR system allow to produce clean energy without additional greenhouse gases.
